The Rusnell family gets ReAL Salt Lake

The family, minum Lauren went to the last regular home game of ReAL Salt Lake in their new stadium. We had a great time, ate junk food and cheered the team on to victory. They played FC Dallas and won 3 to 1.
Here Mathis is on the ground after getting taken out by a FC Dallas player who was red carded. It was one of two red cards.

This is a great shot of the east side of the stadium. It really is a beautiful venue and hold 20,000 people. There were just over 17,000 in attendance.

Our last camp outing for the year

As a family we went to Crystal Hotsprings for an overnight camp out. The kids went swimming in the hot springs with some friends. Dad relaxed by the campfire and worked with Jake. This was the first time we took Jake out camping. He did really well and we think he had a great time.
Tyler near the stream/pong looking for crawfish.

Jordan and Lauren hanging out near the pond.

Our four children!

More Pictures from the festival

The kids playing on some large tires that were barried half way into the ground.

A teter toter (spelling) for the kids to play on. Jordan about launched Lauren in the the nights sky.

Tyler at the start of the Snake Maze - it was made out of corn husks

This is a large tub full of corn seeds - this farm grows corn used for feeding cows - this tub was for playing in. I bet you won't see this at Chuck-E-Cheese.

Lauren's favorite ride - this was a train pulled by a 4 wheeler - the boys got in on the action too.

The kids in front of one of other slides - about 15 feet tall and Lauren was the first to go head first.

This was a very big slide, about 2 1/2 stories high made out of irrigation pipe - it gave your bum a massage when you went down

Mom & Dad get a pumpkin too (not sure whose was bigger)

Tyler, Jordan & Lauren just hanging out at the festival

Black Island Farms Harvest Festival

The last few days was UEA weekend and the kids were off Thursday and Friday so I decided to take the two days off and spend some time with the family. As you can see from the photos we had a great few days and did a lot. We went the the Black Island Farms Harvest Festival (2nd year) were we went on a tractor ride out to the pumpkin fields were we got to pick our own pumpkins. This was our second year doing this and we all had a great time as you can tell. The kids go to play on the farm, see some animals, play in the corn pit (actual pit full of corn seeds), slide down some straw slides, well you get the picture from the pictures.

178th Semiannual General Conference

Today our family spent the majority of the day sitting together watching the 178th Semiannual General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We enjoyed listening to the prophet, apostles, and general authorities share their thoughts and feelings of the gospel. This is the first time we had our children sit with us for the entire 4 hours. I know it wasn't the easiest thing for them to do, but they did well. My sister Heidi emailed me some fun games for the kids to keep them busy durning conference, so far so good. We are really enjoying conference this year and are learning many things we need to work on. We especially enjoy listening to the prophet and his council. http://www.lds.org/broadcast/gc/0,5161,8176,00.html

Jake (6 months old)

It has been several months since I posted a picture or Jake on our website and so I thought now was a good time since it has been so long. Jake is now 6 months old and weighs about 45 lbs. Julie took him to the vet this last week to get neutered. Jake is doing well and our hope is that over the next year he will calm down as he loves to jump on everyone that goes out to play with him. He has more energy than all our kids combined, but we love him.
