First family camping trip of the year
Here are some pictures from our first family camping trip of the year. Some friends of ours (The Dana Family) and us make an annual trip to Downey, Idaho each year to the Downata Hot Springs were we camp for a few days. The kids swim most of the day, play in the sand, we play frizbee, and roast marshmallows by the fire. This year Jim lost a bet from the girls and had to sing two songs from Hannaha Montana. We got it on film, Jim thinks he can sing, but really can't. We had a great time as you can see.

Tyler & Jordan's Piano Recital
Both Tyler and Jordan had a piano recital on the 14th. Tyler played the theme song to Raiders of the Lost Ark and Jordan played the theme song to Phenomenon. Both of the boys played very well. Tyler was one of the only kids that didn't need his sheet music. We are so proud of both. Tyler wants to start playing the guitar and will do so with Julie this year. Some day we will have a family band. Dad might be the lead singer or maybe it would be better if he just managed the band.

Jordan's Pinewood Durby Car
Well Jordan and I learned one thing last week and that is we are not very good at building a fast pinewood durby car. He and I had fun building it, but after a couple of races the car really slowed down. It broke my heart to see him get so sad, but I told him that the best part was that we built it together. You could tell some of the kids had nothing to do with their cars, but their dads did all the work. Jordan's car was so slow I told him we were going to start working next years car the following day. Ha Ha.
Lauren's Graduation Program
Lauren had her class graduation program last week. All of the kids in the same grade sang a number of songs. She was really cute. She even had a short speaking part where she said. Please try and stay in your seat you will enjoy this next little treat. Our little girl is growing up. These are some pictures of her with her teacher and some of her class mates.

A new addition to the family "Jake" 8 weeks old
Yes, it is just like having a new baby. His name is Jake and he is a yellow lab. We got him yesterday. A neighbor of ours dog had a litter of 8 puppies (all yellow labs) and we decided to get one. We have been thinking about it for several months and we decided to go for it. His first night was spent in our bath tub. He was a little lonely last night (first night alone with out his brothers and sisters to keep him company). Once we got him settled down he did great and slept through the night. He did get up early to go to the bathroom, but all-in-all it was a good first night. Here are just a few pictures of him. We caught him napping in the back yard after the kids war him out. More to come soon.
